Ginsburg arrives at the Court

On September 23rd, the casket of Ruth Bader Ginsburg arrived at the Court to lie in repose for two days. 120 of her former law clerks assembled on the steps to act as honorary pallbearers. The pallbearers were members of the Supreme Court police.

D.C. General Hospital

The D.C. General Hospital is being reduced to rubble. It was founded in 1806 and moved to this location in 1846. It was a public hospital until 2001, when it was closed during the city’s fiscal difficulties. It then became a notoriously bad large homeless shelter until 2018.

Foamy Homies

The Foamy Homies are on tour this week in D.C., bringing “Food Relief and Healing.” They are distributing free food, and last night came with their magical truck to the Mall to support Black Lives Matter and the out-of-work entertainment workers from IATSE Local 22.
