I went to see the scenes around the Ellipse twice – once at about noon and once at seven.

A huge overflow crowd on the Washington Monument grounds as Harris spoke on the Ellipse across the street.

There wasn’t much of a view through the security fencing on 15th Street, but some people tried it anyway.
