On the 2nd anniversary of the death of Bijan Ghaisar at the Lincoln Memorial, his sister, brother and father spoke powerfully about Bijan and the injustice of the way he died and the subsequent failure to adequately investigate it.

Representatives Eleanor Holmes Norton, Don Beyer, and Jennifer Wexton spoke about their efforts not only in fighting for continuing to investigate, but also in sponsoring legislation to require Federal officers to wear body cameras. The Park Police did not have cameras – it was only the dash cam of the Fairfax police who joined in later that provided a record of some of it.
