Juliana v U.S.

On September 18th, the plaintiffs from Juliana v U.S. gave a press conference in front of the Supreme Court.

Juliana v U.S. claims that the U.S. violated the constitutional right to life, liberty, and property by failing to protect the climate. The case was brought by 21 young plaintiffs in 2015. The plaintiffs now range in age from 12 to 23.

The case is still at the District Court level, having gone through several turns and blockages, but at this point it looks like it will proceed and likely reach the Supreme Court in the future.

Greta Thunberg did not speak, but listened from the audience. She was surrounded by media after the press conference.
