National School Walkout Day

The National School Walkout Day yesterday in D.C. was incredibly moving. A large group of students sat for 17 minutes in silence with their backs to the White House. After that, they marched down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Capitol, where the crowd kept getting larger and larger. A while after they got to the Capitol, a number of Representatives and Senators came out to speak to the students. The excitement in the crowd when Bernie Sanders appeared was amazingly strong.
