March for Our Lives


The size and passion of the crowd at the March for Our Lives was amazing. I was surprised to find that the Newseum was open, and went up to have a view from the balcony as the crowd started to build and eventually cover every visible area of Pennsylvania Avenue.


Here, the overflow crowd surrounds police cars on 6th Street, where the speakers could be heard but there was no view.

I was in the Newseum for the first half of the rally, then went down to John Marshall Park to be in the crowd.

Before and after the event, I wandered up and down Pennsylvania Avenue, from Freedom Plaza to the stage at 3rd Street, seeing the participants and the police.

There were, of course, always some signs and participants in front of the Trump Hotel:
