On Sunday, I went walking through Pleasant Plains with some friends. One highlight was getting to watch some skateboarders at Banneker Recreation Center:
There are two great old buildings adjoining each other on Georgia Avenue – an old bus garage and a bread factory. They are now owned by Howard University, but since they have been put on the National Register of Historic Places, there are restrictions on what Howard can do to the buildings, and they are in a state of suspended decay;

A great way to spend a warm fall afternoon.
