National Trust for Historic Preservation  behind-the-scenes tour, May 31st.

The Roman centurion statues are by Louis Saint-Gaudens.  The construction is repairing the damage from the 2011 earthquake.

The 1927 Pullman car, the Marco Polo, from the Norfolk Southern Railway, is parked on a side track at Union Station.  FDR leased this car when he was Governor of New York, and used it from then through his Presidency up until WWII when he switched to an armor-plated car.
